Nolan Hatcher: Poetry
I saw God over Chapel Hill
Nolan Hatcher
I saw God over Chapel Hill
When I was floating gently
On my way home.
I told the outsiders
Of the revelation
And they locked me up
In a hospital in Baltimore.
But I know now what I'm meant to do,
So I shall not remain here long.
I've stolen some cheap garments
And solicited aid
And soon it'll be
When I'm home again free,
Cradled in the arms of the Lord.
